The Modern Group of Companies has expanded with the formation of a new company “Modern Transport Engineers Australia Pty Ltd” This is a new company and has been set up to meet the growing demand for MTE transporters in Australia. New properties have been purchased at Tingalpa Brisbane and Frankton New Zealand to meet the growing demand for MTE products.

MTE International Ltd and Modern Transport Engineers 2002 Ltd came into the Modern Group in Jan 2003 and are directed by Michael, Zane and Robin Ratcliffe. Trailers under the MTE name are manufactured by Modern Transport Engineers 2002 Ltd and marketed by MTE International Ltd. All spare parts are now sold through Mike’s Transport Warehouse Ltd.

Mike’s Transport Warehouse Ltd and its new 20,000 Square foot building are situated on a 6-1/2 acre site on state highway one at the Northern Gateway to Hamilton City.The Company is managed by Kerry Thompson whom has been in the Transport Engineering Industry all his working life.

Mike’s Transport Warehouse Ltd stocks Caterpillar, Cummins and Detroit engines and parts, truck and trailer axles, suspensions, gearboxes, cabs, engine parts, fifth wheels, steel and alloy wheels, and brake components.

The very latest additions of small petrol motors, welders, water pumps, generators, and plywood of all sizes expand the range yet further

Equipment and Transport Leasing Ltd have T2000 ,T800, W900L, 100E Kenworths, 362, 362E, 379 Peterbilts and Freightliners Izusu Tippers, Mitubishi Tractors available to lease or purchase along with a host of new trailers. 

From 2004 ETL has added Sumitomo Excavators ranging from 6-50 tonne, Sakai Compaction rollers, Komatsu Bulldozers, Volvo Dump Trucks and Wheel loaders from 6 tonne to 16 tonne  to the modern ETL rental fleet.

Modern Transport Engineers Australia Pty Ltd  is currently producing high quality widening transporters and Jinker Systems for the Australian Wind farm market, MTE has increased production to meet the growing demand.
