Modern Transport Engineers (MTE) is at the forefront of heavy transport innovation, designing and manufacturing advanced trailers, truck bodies, and integrated control systems for demanding real-world applications.

We’re looking for a Mechatronics Engineer with strong Danfoss systems experience and a programming background to join our R&D-focused team and help drive the next generation of intelligent transport solutions.


About the Role:

This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary role where you’ll work across electronics, hydraulics, and software, taking systems from concept through to commissioning.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechatronic control systems for heavy transport equipment
  • Program and configure Danfoss controllers and display
  • Integrate hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems into custom-built trailers and machinery
  • Carry out in-field commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Work closely with mechanical, production, and service teams to deliver complete solutions
  • Contribute to R&D projects, prototyping, and continuous improvement initiatives


About You:

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience with Danfoss platform
  • Strong programming capability (structured logic, CAN systems, embedded control)
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and electro-hydraulic control
  • Ability to diagnose and solve real-world system issues
  • Comfortable working both in the workshop and out in the field
  • Experience in heavy vehicles, mobile plant, or off-highway equipment
  • Exposure to automation, sensors, or machine safety systems
