The MTE semi flat top trombone trailer, often simply referred to as a flat top trailer or flatbed trailer, is a versatile type of trailer used in the transportation industry for hauling a wide variety of cargo including machinery, construction materials, and shipping containers. It features a flat extendable deck and rear bumper, providing an unobstructed surface that is ideal for carrying over dimensional or irregularly shaped loads that cannot fit into standard enclosed trailers.
Designed with a front extension of up to 8000mm and a rear bumper extension of 4000mm with 1000mm locking positions, giving operators greater flexibility for long or over-dimensional loads.
Durable steel deck construction built for heavy transport applications, machinery, materials and general freight.
Fitted with ferry hooks, rope rail and chain slot plates to provide flexible tie-down options for different freight types.
MTE 19.5” disc brake axles, with one steering disc brake axle to improve manoeuvrability and tyre wear.
Optional under-deck twist locks allow the trailer to carry 2 x 20ft, 1 x loaded 20ft or 1 x 40ft ISO containers.
Front and rear removable headboards provide extra load security while still allowing flexibility when required.
