The MTE B-train trailer, also known as a B-double or B-train combination, is a configuration of two trailers connected by a fifth-wheel coupling, forming a double trailer setup. This configuration is widely used in the transportation industry, particularly for hauling bulk goods, long-distance freight, and in the construction industries
The integrated B-Train design allows greater payload efficiency while maintaining excellent tracking and stability. The sliding semi-oscillating fifth wheel provides smooth articulation between trailers, making the combination easy to manoeuvre in tight yards and on challenging worksites
Manufactured using high tensile steel throughout, the full steel deck features an anti-slip grit finish to provide maximum traction when loading machinery in wet or muddy conditions
Heavy-duty 2400mm hydraulic loading ramps provide fast, safe loading and unloading of equipment. A range of optional ramp configurations are available, including dog-leg ramps, lightweight ramps and custom ramp designs to suit your application
The front trailer features full-width pneumatic pop-up top deck ramps with a 5 tonne capacity, allowing machinery to be easily positioned across both trailer decks while maximising available loading space
Integrated rope rails, chain lugs and ferry hook lashings are fitted throughout both trailers, providing numerous secure tie-down points for a wide variety of loads while keeping the deck uncluttered
Built using proven MTW axles, air suspension and Knorr-Bremse EBS braking, the MTE B-Train delivers excellent ride quality, dependable braking performance and reduced maintenance across long haul operations
