MTE Panel Trailers are designed to make transporting large precast panels safer, easier, and more practical. Available in 3 axle and 4 axle configurations, the MTE panel trailer uses independent hydraulic suspension to lower the internal deck between the wheels, allowing panels to sit as low as 250mm from the ground. This gives operators the ability to carry taller panels upright while staying within New Zealand height limits, avoiding the need to transport panels flat as an over-width load.
The independent hydraulic suspension eliminates the need for a full-width axle, allowing the trailer well to sit much lower between the wheels. This innovative design improves load stability while making it possible to transport taller panels within legal height limits
With an internal deck height of just 250mm during travel and 183mm when fully lowered, the MTE Panel Trailer allows large precast panels to be carried upright without exceeding New Zealand's 4.3m height restriction
Designed specifically for the precast industry, the trailer enables 4 metre panels to be transported upright rather than laid flat. This avoids creating an over-width load, reducing transport complexity and improving efficiency
The hydraulic suspension provides up to 600mm of lift, making loading and unloading easier while allowing the trailer height to be adjusted to suit different loading environments
Choose between a 40 tonne GVM 3 axle or 50 tonne GVM 4 axle configuration
Can be equipped with a upto a 4 metre trombone deck extension, allowing longer precast panels and structural components to be transported while maintaining the trailer's low loading height
Six independently controlled hydraulic panel clamps securely hold every load during transport, providing even clamping pressure across the trailer. Each clamp features double-acting hydraulic rams with integrated hold and lower valves, nylon wear pads to protect finished panel surfaces, and individual pressure gauges so operators can easily verify the clamping force on every panel
Heavy-duty removable panel uprights provide the flexibility to adapt the trailer for different load configurations. Secured using screw-down locking twist-locks, the uprights can be quickly installed or removed as required. Optional handrails and integrated walkways improve operator safety by providing secure access when loading, unloading and securing panels
For added versatility, an optional chequer plate top deck with removable headboard provides additional storage space for accessories, equipment and ancillary loads, making the trailer even more capable on site
