5R8 Linkwing Straight Deck – 130 Tonne GVM
Leading the shipment is an MTE 5R8 Linkwing Straight Deck, engineered for demanding heavy transport applications where load capacity, deck width and operational flexibility are essential.
Built using high-tensile steel, the trailer features a 13.56-metre overall deck length and a hydraulic widening system that allows the deck to expand from 2.5 metres to an impressive 4.27 metres.
With a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) rating of 130 tonnes, the 5R8 is designed to accommodate substantial machinery and oversized loads.
The trailer incorporates MTE's hydraulic ball-type suspension, providing adjustable ride height and load management capabilities. A sliding rub plate, hydraulically operated heavy-duty ramps and remote-controlled widening and suspension functions further enhance its versatility.
A diesel-powered hydraulic system provides the power required for the trailer's widening, suspension and ramp operations.
3R8 Lightweight Linkwing – 65 Tonne GVM
Also included in the shipment is an MTE 3R8 Lightweight Linkwing, offering a balance between heavy-duty carrying capability and a lighter, more compact trailer configuration.
Rated at 65 tonnes GVM, the trailer features an 11.39-metre overall deck length and a hydraulic widening system that expands the deck from 2.5 metres to 3.7 metres.
Constructed from high-tensile steel, the 3R8 incorporates MTE's hydraulic ball-type suspension, allowing the deck height to be adjusted to suit different transport requirements.
Additional features include a sliding oscillating skid plate, hydraulically operated loading ramps, integrated load restraint points and a diesel-powered hydraulic system.
The Lightweight Linkwing provides a versatile transport solution for machinery and equipment operators requiring substantial carrying capacity without moving to a larger multi-axle configuration.
2R4 Dolly – 32 Tonne GVM
Completing the shipment is an MTE 2R4 Dolly, designed to provide additional axle capacity and weight distribution when operating in heavy transport combinations.
The two-axle dolly features a 32-tonne GVM rating, K-Hitch leaf spring suspension and a Knorr-Bremse Electronic Braking System (EBS).
A sliding fifth wheel arrangement allows for adjustment within the transport combination, while its robust construction and practical design make it a valuable addition to heavy haulage operations.
Designed to work alongside larger transport trailers, the 2R4 Dolly provides additional flexibility when configuring combinations for different loads and operating requirements.
