MTE recently completed this 3 Axle Panel Trailer for Mackleys Carriers, purpose-built for the specialised transport of precast concrete panels.

The trailer features an ultra-low 180mm deck height between the axles when fully lowered, allowing large precast panels to sit as low as possible during transport. MTE hydraulic suspension provides 600mm of lift, giving the operator the ability to raise and lower the trailer as required during loading, unloading and transport.

The trailer incorporates four removable panel uprights – two per side – and eight manual panel clamps, with four screw-out clamps on each side. Walkways, removable handrails and fork pockets have also been incorporated into the uprights to assist with operation and handling.

A particularly useful feature of this build is its three removable trestles, which bridge the trailer well at top-deck height. With the frame fitted, this allows a full-length panel weighing up to 20 tonnes to be carried, adding further versatility to the trailer.
