MTE recently completed this 3 Axle Semi Forklift Transporter for Hanes Engineering, purpose-built for the transport of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
A key feature of this specialised transporter is its hydraulically widening axle and deck system. The axles can be widened for loading, allowing sections of the deck to fold down between the wheels and creating a low, accessible loading platform. Combined with a 570mm deck ride height and full-width hydraulic rear ramp, the design provides a practical solution for loading and transporting forklifts.

Designed for Machinery Loading
Hydraulic controls provide independent operation of the left and right suspension, widening system, rear ramp and centre deck, allowing the trailer to be configured to suit the loading operation.
A 15,000lb electric winch is mounted at the front of the trailer, providing additional assistance when loading equipment that cannot be driven onto the deck. Extensive chain slots, tie bars and dedicated tie points provide multiple options for securing machinery once loaded.
Customer: Hanes Engineering
Purpose-Built Forklift Transport
Finished in Hanes Blue with anti-slip grit applied to the deck surfaces, this is another example of an MTE trailer engineered around a customer's specific equipment and day-to-day transport requirements.
