MTE completed this 3 Rows of 4 Widener for Porter Haulage, purpose-built as a versatile heavy machinery transporter for their specialist haulage operations.
Finished in Porter’s distinctive yellow, this 3R4 incorporates several features tailored specifically for machinery transport, including extra-long hydraulic loading ramps, a hydraulic recovery winch and air-operated pop-up ramps to the top deck.
The hydraulically widening main deck expands from 2,500mm closed to 3,600mm open, while MTE hydraulic suspension provides a 920mm ride height and an 820mm loading height.

Custom 3.2m Loading Ramps
One of the standout features of this build is the set of custom 3,200mm × 900mm straight hydraulic main ramps. Their additional length provides a more gradual approach angle when loading machinery, particularly useful for equipment with limited ground clearance. Chain tensioners are incorporated into the ramp chains, while air-operated pop-up ramps provide access to the 3.7m top deck.
Hydraulic Recovery Winch
A 15,000lb ComeUp HV15 hydraulic winch is mounted at the front of the top deck, equipped with 27 metres of 14mm wire rope. The winch can be operated by wireless remote or from a manual control located alongside the winch, providing additional capability when loading non-operational or difficult-to-load machinery.
The trailer also incorporates an extensive load restraint system, including certified tie-bar lashings, rope rails, chain lugs, ferry hooks and ship-lock pockets for a loaded 20ft container.
Storage is provided through two 900mm toolboxes, two integrated top-deck chain bins and two additional open chain bins with dedicated chain hangers.
