MTE recently completed this 3 Rows of 8 Linkwing for Mold Logging Ltd, purpose-built as a versatile heavy haulage solution for transporting large forestry and earthmoving machinery.
Rated to 85,000kg GVM, this build combines MTE’s hydraulically widening Linkwing deck with hydraulic suspension, a hydraulic compensating gooseneck and a clip-on dovetail system, giving Mold Logging a highly adaptable platform for different machinery transport requirements.

Clip-On Dovetail System
A standout feature of this 3R8 is its clip-on dovetail configuration. The trailer is set up with separate dovetails using hooks and bushes, with hydraulic, air and electrical couplings integrated into mounting plates at the rear of the trailer. The system also provides provision for additional compatible clip-on equipment in the future.
This gives Mold Logging additional flexibility to configure the trailer around different machinery and loading requirements rather than being restricted to a permanently fixed rear configuration.
Hydraulic Control & Remote Operation
The hydraulic compensating gooseneck works alongside the trailer's widening and suspension systems, providing greater control when setting the trailer up for different loads.
A 10-function Apollo remote system allows the operator to control the gooseneck, left and right suspension and front and rear deck widening remotely.
Equipped for Heavy Haulage
Extensive load restraint provisions include 16 Figure 8 lashings in each deck, cross-member lashing rings, heavy-duty 16mm chain lugs and ship-lock provisions for a 20ft container. Stainless-steel coaming protectors provide additional protection around high-use lashing areas.
Storage is also well catered for with five open chain bins, additional chain bin/dunnage trays between the axles and two spine dunnage trays. A centralised 73-point automatic greasing system covers the suspension, brakes, widening system, wings and locks to simplify routine maintenance.
Built for Heavy Machinery
Finished in Blue Sapphire with a contrasting Sub Grey chassis, underside and ramps, this 3R8 has a distinctive finish to match its heavy-haulage capability.
