Fresh out of the MTE workshop after a full refurbishment, this 3 Rows of 8 Linkwing for Central Equipment Movers Limited has been given a new lease on life and paired with their new Scania 770S.
Originally built by MTE in 2019, the trailer was designed as a 3R8 Linkwing with a 1R8 clip-on, giving Central Equipment Movers a highly adaptable heavy-haulage platform.
Now fully refreshed and matched with the new Scania, the combination has also been kitted out with more than 270 NARVA lights, making it a standout setup both day and night.

3R8 + 1R8 Clip-On Versatility
A key feature of the original build is its 1R8 Linkwing clip-on with fixed dovetail and ramps, along with a separate clip-on dovetail and ramps for the 3R8. This allows the combination to be configured around different loads and heavy transport requirements.
The trailer also features a 45,000lb Garwood hydraulic winch, with a 12-function remote controlling the winch, gooseneck, widening and suspension systems.
Built to Work. Built to Last.
This project is a great example of the lifespan of an MTE heavy-haulage trailer. Originally completed in 2019, the 3R8 has returned to the same workshop where it was built for a full refurbishment before heading back out for many more years of work.
With its 3.7m widening deck, hydraulic compensating gooseneck, 1R8 clip-on capability, 45,000lb winch and hydraulic suspension, the refreshed Linkwing remains an extremely versatile heavy transport platform.
Freshly refurbished, paired with a new Scania 770S and lit up with more than 270 NARVA lights – this is one combination that's going to be hard to miss.
