Full Electronic Command Steering
A standout feature of this build is MTE's fully electronic steering system, eliminating the traditional header displacement steering arrangement.
All four axles provide up to 35 degrees of command steering, with several operating modes available to suit different situations. Digitally adjustable Road Mode provides five steer-about positions, Graduated Mode allows the operator to select the axle to steer around, while Full Steer Mode provides individual control of any axle or combination of axles.
This level of control is particularly valuable in house moving, where the combination may need to negotiate narrow roads, gateways, intersections and restricted building sites while carrying an extremely large load.
Extending to Over 22 Metres
The trailer incorporates an 8,925mm box-spine extension, taking the deck from 12.95m closed to 22.43m open.
The extension locks in approximately 1,275mm increments, allowing the overall trailer length to be configured around different buildings. Three sliding pontoons provide further flexibility when supporting wider structures.
Hydraulic suspension provides a substantial range of vertical adjustment, allowing the deck to move from just 900mm fully lowered to 2,780mm raised.
In-Cab & Remote Control
The trailer is equipped with a Danfoss remote control system, providing control over steering, left and right suspension, front lift, engine functions and individual axle selection.
An in-cab touchscreen provides the same functions along with Road-Assist steering, adjustable steer-about points, automatic levelling and lifting, four programmable lift heights and manual dial-up levelling. A reversing camera integrated into the rear bumper also feeds through to the in-cab display.
Designed Around the Job
A 760mm hydraulic kingpin side-shift provides another level of control when positioning the trailer, while the onboard 68.5HP Yanmar diesel power pack operates a three-pump hydraulic system dedicated to the steering, suspension and front lift functions.
The trailer also incorporates dedicated storage for house-moving equipment, including stainless-door toolboxes, dunnage boxes and even a custom 2.7m pole-saw storage compartment beneath the top deck.
