MTE recently completed this 4 Axle Flat Top Low Loader for Downer Group NZ, purpose-built as a versatile machinery transport solution for their New Zealand operations.

While based around MTE’s proven straight-deck Flat Top Low Loader platform, this build incorporates several custom features designed around the way Downer moves equipment – most notably a custom front loading ramp and telescopic drawbar, allowing machinery to be loaded from the trailer directly into the bin of a tipper truck.

Load restraint is provided through 15 certified tie-bar lashings per side, full-length certified rope rails, chain lugs at every crossmember and six dedicated ferry tie-down points.

The trailer also includes two lockable 1,200mm toolboxes, three dedicated chain bins and under-deck holders for six traffic cones, providing plenty of practical storage for day-to-day operation.
