4 Axle Semi Transporter

MTE recently completed this 4 Axle Semi Transporter for Equipment & Transport Leasing Ltd (ETL Hire), built as a heavy-duty machinery transporter for their hire and transport fleet.

At 2.8 metres wide, with a 50,000kg GVM, 10.9m main deck and 9.2m forward length, the trailer provides a substantial platform for transporting excavators, loaders and other large construction and earthmoving machinery.

Main & Top Deck Loading

At the rear, 2,700mm × 900mm hydraulic loading ramps provide access to the 10.9m main deck, while integrated pop-up ramps provide access to the top deck.

This gives ETL Hire additional usable loading space and allows smaller machinery, attachments or other equipment to be positioned on the upper deck when required.

Extensive Load Restraint

The trailer incorporates a comprehensive load restraint system designed around heavy machinery transport.

The bottom deck features 15 certified 9,000kg lashing points per side and 32 additional 9,000kg tie bars within the deck. The top deck adds another five certified lashings per side and two additional tie bars, while a 2,500kg certified rope rail runs the full length of both decks.

Container Capability & Storage

The transporter retains additional versatility for container work, with provisions for carrying either an empty 20ft container on the bottom deck or a 40ft container utilising the top deck.

Practical storage includes two 1,200mm lockable toolboxes and two 900mm chain bins, keeping chains, load restraint equipment and other gear readily accessible.
