4 Axle Flat Top Low Loader - Straight Deck

Another 4 Axle Flat Top Low Loader completed for Downer Group NZ, built as a practical and versatile machinery transporter for their New Zealand operations.

Unlike the previous custom Downer builds, this trailer uses a more traditional MTE Flat Top Low Loader configuration, With a 32,000kg GVM, 9.5m deck and air suspension, it provides a straightforward heavy-duty platform for transporting construction and civil equipment.

Built for Machinery Transport

The 9.5m straight deck provides plenty of usable loading space, with the 2.49m-wide platform finished in 18mm anti-slip treated plywood over the steel deck.

At the rear, 2.7m × 900mm hydraulic ramps with cleats and plywood infills provide a practical loading solution for excavators, pavers, rollers and other construction machinery. A full-weight rear loading leg provides additional support during loading and unloading.

Load Restraint & Container Capability

The trailer incorporates a comprehensive range of load restraint points, including 15 certified tie-bar lashings per side, two additional front lashings, 12 tie points within the deck, full-length rope rails and eight ferry tie-down chain lugs.

Ship-lock pockets are also incorporated into the deck for carrying a 20ft container, with four double-ended ship locks supplied with the trailer.

Practical Storage

Two integrated chain bins are positioned in the front corners of the deck, while two 900mm lockable toolboxes with stainless-steel lids provide additional storage beneath the trailer. Under-deck cone holders are also fitted on each side.

Sliding front and rear chevrons, LED lighting, Hella warning strobes and rear work/reverse lights complete the trailer for day-to-day transport operations.
