Built for Precast Heavy Haulage
At the centre of each Jinker is a specialised bolster arrangement designed around Doolans’ heavy haulage requirements.
The bolster cradle incorporates Super Tee and hollow-core jaws, with additional box sections incorporated into the beam jaws for twitches. This provides a purpose-built setup for securing large precast concrete components during transport.
Each Jinker can widen from a road-going 2,498mm out to 4,310mm, with air-operated widening locks securing the unit in position.
90-Degree Hydraulic Steering
Handling extremely long loads requires considerable control over the rear of the combination.
Each Jinker features a double ball race capable of 90-degree steering, with four hydraulic steering rams – two controlling the bogie and two controlling the ball race.
This allows the operator to actively steer the Jinker when manoeuvring long loads through tighter sites, intersections and accessways.
Remote Operation
A 10-function remote control provides the operator with control over the major hydraulic functions without needing to remain at the rear control station.
Functions include left and right steering, front and rear widening, drawbar raise and lower, engine start/stop and warning/work lighting.
Hydraulic power is supplied by an onboard 9.5HP Kubota diesel power pack, making each Jinker self-contained for its steering and widening functions.
Designed Around the Operator
With specialised heavy haulage equipment, safe operator access is just as important as the hydraulic functionality.
Each Jinker incorporates a widening man platform on the bolster with removable safety rails and ladders on both sides, along with a rear platform featuring alloy tread plate, access steps and safety railings.
A winch is also mounted beneath the bolster, while a 40-metre air and electrical lead accommodates the significant distance between the Jinker and the front of the heavy haulage combination.
