5R8 Linkwing & 5R8 Linkwing & 3 Axle House Trailer

A middle-of-the-night departure from MTE for this line-up, getting three specialised trailers on the road in time to make the boat to Australia.

This shipment included three very different builds, each designed around the requirements of its new owner:

🔸 Queensland House Removals – MTE 3 Axle House Trailer
A highly specialised house-moving trailer featuring Full Electronic Command Steer across all three axles, allowing individual axle steering and electronic steering while travelling. The trailer extends from 11,345mm to 19,145mm, lowers to just 925mm, and is rated to 50,000kg GVW.  

It also features hydraulic suspension, hydraulic kingpin side-shift, an oscillating rubplate, hydraulic landing legs and an in-cab touchscreen control system with Road-Assist steering, auto levelling and programmable lift heights.  

🔸 Burke Management – MTE 5R8 Dropbed Linkwing
Built with a 130,000kg GVW, 127mm dropbed and MTE hydraulic ball suspension. The Linkwing hydraulically widens from 2,500mm out to 4,270mm, with seven different locking widths to suit a wide range of heavy and oversized loads.  

The build also includes an internal hydraulic gooseneck, 3,300mm heavy-duty hydraulic ramps, onboard diesel hydraulic power pack and a 12-function remote controlling suspension, widening and gooseneck functions.  

🔸 Alltrans Heavy Haulage – MTE 5R8 Linkwing
Another 130,000kg GVW heavy-haulage build, but configured with an extra-wide 2,700mm closed deck, hydraulically widening all the way out to 4,600mm. It features a 12,475mm deck behind the neck, 690MPa high-tensile construction and MTE hydraulic ball suspension.  

Heavy-duty hydraulic ramps, an internal hydraulic gooseneck, onboard Kubota diesel power pack and remote-controlled widening and suspension complete the package.
